Lifelong Hollister resident Catherine M. “Katie” Martin died Saturday, May 10, 2003 at the William and Inez Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility in Hollister. She was 79.
Mrs. Martin had worked for Nob Hill Foods, Safeway and Mission Foods. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Young Ladies Institute, the Catholic Daughters and the Native Daughters of the Golden West.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anna Marie and Fred Medina of Hollister; and her granddaughter, Ashley Jordan of Hollister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Martin, in 1997.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, proceeding to Sacred Heart Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Interment and graveside services will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to a special fund in care of the funeral home.
