Charles Wesley Miller passed away July 4, 2015, on the Miller Ranch (Emmet area, Paicines), where he was born March 9, 1926.
He attended local schools, then entered the U.S. Navy in 1944, where he served as a Yeoman 3rd Class in the Asiatic Pacific until his honorable discharge in June 1946.
Wes worked for P.G. & E. as a technician in the Avenal and Milpitas areas for a number of years.
He returned to the ranch in the 1960s to help care for his ailing father. It was at that time, he began dealing in antiques and travelling throughout the U.S.
Wes became very accomplished in woodworking and furniture refinishing, with a special talent for creating beautiful hand-made works of art from inlaid wooden bowls to intricate grandmother clocks. His one-of-a-kind creations were much sought after and remain treasured keepsakes.
Wes will be greatly missed by his survivors, nephews and nieces, David Fancher, Jack Fancher, Marti Hubbell, Brooke Fancher, Martin Miller, Linda Kline, and Sue Kimball, and many grandnieces and nephews.
