800 block of San Benito Street was arrested on suspicion of
pointing a firearm at a customer he thought was stealing.
At 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, the clerk at Pacheco Liquors on the 800 block of San Benito Street was arrested on suspicion of pointing a firearm at a customer he thought was stealing.

The clerk pointed the gun at the man whom the employee thought had stolen a cigar, according to police. The customer then placed the worker, a 58-year-old Salinas man, under citizen’s arrest, according to police.

Police issued a citation with the arrest and booked him into the county jail.
