A two-vehicle accident on Highway 25 around 4:30 p.m. Friday has sent one person to the hospital, as authorities work to clear the northbound lane on Highway 25.

Around 4:30 p.m., two vehicles collided near the intersection of Highway 25 and San Felipe Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision knocked one of the vehicle’s drivers unconscious and unresponsive. The injuries are unknown at this time.

As of 4:40 p.m., paramedics were preparing to airlift the driver to a hospital in San Jose, CHP spokesman Jaime Rios said. The driver was unresponsive but had a pulse.

Rios warned that the northbound lane would be blocked off until a tow truck can remove the two vehicles. He did not know how long that would be.

There are no more reported injuries at this time but more information is expected to come, Rios said. The CHP does not know how the collision occurred but it is still investigating.
