Dean David Zart August 22, 1931 – August 4, 2014

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Gilroy Presbyterian Church. Burial to follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park.  Dean David Zart passed away August 4, 2014. He is survived by children Sherae (Chuck) Moresco, Shannon (David) Carroll, and Sheila (Martin) Zart-Schlapfer all of Gilroy; grandchildren Tyler Sperry, Michael and Shawn Moresco, Cassie (David) Pimentel, Zachary and Koby Carroll, and Max and Mia Schlapfer; great-grandchild Charles Pimentel. Dean is also survived by his brother, Wes Zart and numerous relatives.
 Dean was a loving husband to Audrey for 53 years until her passing in 2011.
 Dean was a veteran of the US Army. He served from 1953 to 1955 in the Korean War. Dean graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Dakota in 1960.
 He had a 35-year career as a Senior Product Safety Engineer with FMC, beginning in Cedar Rapids, IA and continuing in San Jose, CA until his retirement in 1995.
 Dean was a member of the Gilroy Presbyterian church, enjoying many friendships cultivated over the years.
