A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 3:30 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 985 Barrett Ave, Morgan Hill CA.
Denise W. Leverton, 53, of Morgan Hill, succumbed to life’s greatest enemy on September 16, 2013, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Denise was born in San Jose, CA on August 29,1960, to Jerry and Caryl Wright.
She graduated from Thurston High (Springfield, OR) in 1978, and shortly thereafter was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Denise married Robert M. Leverton on August 30,1980 in San Jose, CA. In 1991 they moved to Morgan Hill.
Denise is survived by her husband, Robert M. Leverton; daughters Rebecca Leverton, Elizabeth Sponseller (Andrew), and Joanna Leverton. She is also survived by her parents, Jerry and Caryl Wright, and her brother, Boyd Wright (Josephine).
Denise excelled as a mom and always enjoyed working with children, both at MHUSD and SCCL. Her legacy of outstanding faith touched many hearts, and her prolific knitting warmed many feet. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Denise unwaveringly looked forward to the Bible’s promise of a resurrection (Acts 24:15). We love her and look forward to seeing her again soon (John 5:28,29).
