Dionisia H. Guron died Tuesday, Oct. 7 at San Jose Medical Center. She was 83.

She was born in the Philippine Islands and lived in Hollister for many years and had just moved back two months ago from Arizona to be close to her son and his family.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, The Fil Vasayan Association and The Filipino American Community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Flaviano Guron and daughter Marilyn Guron Ortal.

She is survived by her sons and their wives Rolando and Ariceli Guron of Las Vegas, Nev., Florante and Josephine Guron of Hollister, Revelino and Merlyn Guron of Phoenix, Ariz., son-in-law Charlie Ortal of Rowland Heights, Calif., and her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Friends can pay their respects Friday from noon to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home and then proceed to Sacred Heart Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 2 p.m.

Interment and graveside services will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.
