A celebration of Dolores’ life will be held Sunday, June 12, 2016, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M., at the Pajaro Street Grill, 435 Pajaro Street, Salinas CA.
 Dolores A (Fox) Badham, a long-time resident of Salinas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 1st.
 She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Keith Badham. Dolores is survived by her daughter, Martha Oral (Onur) and her two grandchildren, Patrick J Dunn and Deniz Oral Lopez (Joshua).
 Dolores was born in Mendon, MO. and moved to Salinas in the mid 1950’s where she was a well-respected elementary school teacher at both El Gabilan and Monterey Park schools. Dolores was an active member of the Salinas community.
 Most notable amongst her many accomplishments was her service as a three decade long board member and organizer for the Annual Steinbeck Festival. Additionally, she was the Founding Board President of the National Steinbeck Center and was instrumental in taking it from an idea to the acclaimed institution it is today. She was also a member and past National President of the Phi Epsilon Phisorority. Dolores was a member of the Salinas Women’s Club and also served as President. She was also a long time volunteer at the Steinbeck House
 Dolores will be remembered, both by her family and those whose lives were touched by her, as a person who was committed to improving the community she lived in and for helping those who are in need.
