Donald Stephen Bellezza passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009, Mother’s Day at Oak Park Convalescent Home in Pleasant Hill, CA. Don spent his teen years in Gilroy and was a long time resident of Walnut Creek.

Don was born of the late Stephen Bellezza and Margaret Evelyn Bellezza on August 10, 1938 in Sidney, MT. Don and his parents moved to Gilroy in 1950 along with his sister. He was a graduate of Gilroy High School, served in the Army, attended San Jose St, U.C. Berkeley and graduated from Golden Gate University. He was a private accountant for numerous firms before working on a consulting basis before retirement. In March, 1964, he married Madeline Ford at Fort Polk, LA and had 3 children, Michael Bellezza, Karen Bellezza and Kenneth Bellezza. He is survived by all of these family members as well as his mother Margaret Bellezza. He is preceded in death by his sister Eileen Borg.

Don was a member of the Walnut Creek Elks and was very fond of animals. He played for the U.C. Berkeley band and had a love for music. He was a racing fan and had a passion for baseball when he was young. He was fond of photography and for relaxation he enjoyed playing computer games.

A memorial celebration will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth Street, Gilroy.
