A celebration of life for Ellen J. Mullins will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the Mountain View Retirement Center, Ashland. Mrs. Mullins, 89, of Ashland, died Wednesday, Feb. 6th at home.

Mrs. Mullins was born December 9, 1918 in Latvia. She was married for 66 years to Martin Mullins who survives. She graduated from college with a teaching degree and taught first grade and kindergarten.

She enjoyed reading, crafts, nature and gardening and was a member of the Ashland Hospital Guild, the Doris’ Book Club, and helped with the Ashland Information Kiosk.

Surviving in addition to her husband are: daughters, Kelley Mullins of Kirkland, WA, Maureen Seuss of San Rafael, CA; sons Brian Mullins of Chico, CA and Jeffrey Mullins of Taos, NM; five grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by two sisters Mylis and Georgette and one brother Freddy.
