Frank P. Greco passed away Monday morning at his home after a lengthy illness. Born in Monterey and lived in Hollister as a child then lived in Reno for many years until coming back to Hollister in 1971.

Frank served in the U.S. Army during World War II, member and past Exalted Ruler of the B.P.O.E.# 1436 of Hollister. Frank was state public relations chairman for Cal/Hawaii Elks. Past President (1988-1989) and member of the Hollister Rotary since 1974. Honorary member of Salinas Rotary Club. Member of Ridgemark Golf & Country Club.

Frank was a retired music teacher and well known for his accordion playing.

Frank is survived by his wife, Lucile and children, Debra Schmitz, husband, Christopher of San Jose, Frank P. Greco, III of Honolulu and Anna Haney of North Carolina, grandchildren, Stephanie and Matthew Schmitz, Patrick and Dominic Haney. Frank also is the uncle of George Greco, Jr., wife Lorene of Atlanta, Dennis Greco, wife, Gloria of Reno, Larry Greco, wife, Maile of Honolulu and several additional nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home under the auspices of the Hollister Elk’s Lodge. Friends may also visit at the funeral home this Friday from Noon to 6:00 P.M. Burial will be private.

Contributions are preferred to Elk’s Major Project, Parkinsons Foundation, Rotary Foundation or Kinship Center.
