Former long-time Hollister resident Frank R. Escover passed away February 6th, 2011, in Fremont, CA at the age of 101.

Frank lived in San Benito County from 1941 until 1999 and was the Maintenance Foreman for the 33rd Agricultural District (Bolado Park) for 32 years before he settled into a new retirement community in Fremont in 1999. He was a former member of Sacred Heart Parish and Immaculate Conception Parish. A Veteran of WW II.

Frank enjoyed the out-of-doors spending time gardening, growing vegetables, and tending to his fruit trees. Frank was the husband of the late Grace G. Escover who passed away in July 1982. His is survived by his son Thomas F. Escover and spouse Harriette Grooh of Novato; daughter Julie Caporgno of Fremont, grandchildren Jonathan Caporgno of Rancho Cordova, and Jason Caporgno, spouse Imma of Fremont; and great-grandchild Precious Caporgno and many other relatives.

Friends are invited to the visitation which will take place Friday, Feb. 11th from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home and to join the family at Sacred Heart Church for a Mass of The Resurrection which will begin at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery with military honors provided by Hollister Post No. 9242, V.F.W.
