 Gloria Rizzi passed away suddenly, on March 31, 2016, in her home in Gilroy, at the age of 89. 
 Wife of the late Victor Rizzi Sr. Mother of Carolyn Tognetti (Eddie) of Gilroy, Julie Nelson (Jim) of Fountain Hills, AZ and the late Vic Rizzi Jr. Grandmother of Nancy Sosa, Andrea Castro (Ed), Gary Tognetti (Natalie) of Gilroy, Tony Tognetti (Kelsey) of Burlingame, CA, Erica Trinchero (Gerad) of Gilroy, Vince Rizzi (Jessalyn) of Los Gatos, Kevin Rizzi of San Jose, Lisa Lamb (Brian) of Chandler, AZ and Joey Zagarino (Kirsten) of Scottsdale, AZ. Great-grandmother of 25 with three more expected soon. Sister of Gene Ciabattari (Marian) of Napa, CA, sister-in-law of Barbara Drewitz of Gilroy. Also survived by Karen Christopher, who was like a daughter to her, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
 Gloria was born October 11, 1926 in Gilroy. She moved to San Jose at the age of 11 with her family and graduated from Lincoln High School where she was a cheerleader. 
 She married her husband, Victor, in 1945 and moved to Gilroy. 
 Gloria worked for Dr. Joseph G. McCormack for over 20 years as a medical receptionist. In her later years, she worked at Garlic World for her daughter, Carolyn. 
 Gloria loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Attending all their sporting events and activities brought her great joy. 
 She enjoyed traveling, cooking Italian dinners for her family and friends and sewing. Gloria adopted and loved many rescue dogs. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
 The family would like to thank her caregivers, Kathy Napolitano and KC Vicencio, for the loving care they gave to Gloria.
