My name is Valerie Gordon I have lived in Hollister for about 11 years. My husband and I have enjoyed the motorcycle rallies and how it brings in entertainment and money for Hollister businesses. We have not heard if they are going ahead again at Bolado Park this year but we hope so.
We are in our 60s, and the loud noise most people complain about is no big deal. Its only three to four days out of the year. Come on people – lets have your input. Bring the rally back. What do you say?
One year they charged $5 a motorcycle to bring in more money. The bikers didn’t complain.
Also let the bikers have San Benito Street back where they belong – not stuck in the back streets and side streets. After all, that is what the rally is all about, showing off their bikes.
The vendors did fine on the side streets – also some were on San Benito Street. The rally puts Hollister on the map and these bikers plan for this all year, and so do the residents of Hollister. Let’s hear from you residents of Hollister – yes on the rally.
