Hazel Eleanor Marr Gregory Abbadie January 10, 1925 - August 31, 2013

Hazel was born in San Francisco to parents, Magdalene Reeves Young and Alexander Gordon Marr, immigrants from Scotland.
 She grew up in Richmond, CA. Hazel sold eggs during the Depression with her brothers, worked at Standard Oil during WWII while her husband was serving; she was “Hazel the Nut Lady” selling Blue Diamond Almonds.
 She sold carpet at the Napa and Santa Cruz Flea Markets for years. She owned Once Around Lightly, a used clothing store in Santa Cruz where she was known for serving champagne to customers.
 She settled down in Hollister and retired at 82 after being a caregiver for elderly couples. She had a passion for gardening, reading, garage sales, spending time with her family and drinking champagne. Her wit and charm endeared her to family and friends.
 Hazel is survived by her children, Tom Gregory, Janet Shattuck, Adeen McKuin, eight grandchildren, lots of great-grandchildren; Her partner of 33 years, Mr. G., and her dogs.
