Herb Ortuno died in Hollister on Feb. 2. He was born in Mexico and was 45 years old.

He married his wife, Minerva, in 1980 in Mexico and lived in Hollister for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Minerva Ortuno of Hollister; his son and his wife, Efrain; and Melissa Ortuno of Pittsburg; his daughter, Dolly Ortuno of Hollister; his son Herb Ortuno Jr. of Hollister; his brothers and sisters, Sylvestre Ortuno of Omak, Wash. Aurelio Villanueva of Mexico, Eleazar Villanueva of Mexico, Roberta Ortuno of Mexico and many other brothers and sisters in the Tri City area in Washington; Nereida Ortuno, Juvenal Ortuno, Guadalupe Ortuno, Eugenia Ortuno, Ofelia Ortuno, Carlos Ortuno and Domingo Ortuno.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Alejandro Ortuno and survived by two granddaughters, Gineese Denae Gutierrez and Eliza Nicole Ortuno.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory in Hollister. Private family inurement will follow the cremation.
