Hollister police are investigating a shooting on Easter in downtown while seeking four suspects.
At about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Hollister police responded to a report of a person shot in the 800 block of Washington Street, according to the Hollister Police Department.
There had been a fight involving four males and a victim. During the struggle, one of the males in the group ran to a vehicle and retrieved a black rifle and then shot the victim three times, according to a police statment.
Emergency responders treated the victim and airlifted him to a Bay Area hospital for treatment.
The suspect was described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a light complexion, dark curly hair with a ponytail. All four suspects then fled in a gray – possibly a Chevrolet – single-cab pickup.
The investigation revealed that bullets also struck a vehicle and an occupied residence in the area.
