The Hollister Vikings evened their record to 1-1 after beating Coyote Creek 29-0 last Sunday.

The Hollister Vikings Pop Warner Midgets team came away with an impressive 29-0 win over Coyote Creek last Sunday at the Campbell Community Center.
The Vikings (1-1), who were coming off a season-opening loss to Bayside, dominated Coyote Creek from the opening kickoff. Quarterback Mathew Dela Torre threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Salvador Vargas for the team’s first score, and Vargas accounted for the team’s second TD from 3-yards out.
Christopher Pritchett added a TD run to put the team up 21-0 in the first quarter. Pritchett said the offensive line of Isaias Rivera, Ricardo Navarro, Bobby Viramontes and Victor Cabrera was the key to the team totaling 254 yards on the ground.
Linebackers Owen Branon, Anthony Delgado and Alberto Rodriguez led the Hollister defense by combining for 25 tackles. Rodriguez also had a couple of sacks and recorded a safety in the third quarter to put the Vikings up 23-0.
Pritchett accounted for the final score of the game with a TD. Hollister plays Santa Cruz at Harvey West Park on Saturday.
