DRIVE-BY SHOOTING: Hollister police responded to a report of a drive-by shooting at Dacia Perez’s home at 950 Nash Road around 2 a.m. Monday. Three shots were fired from a .38 Special or a .357 Magnum, which went through her front door and lodged in the walls of her home. Neither Perez or her two children, who were sleeping at the time of the incident, were injured. The incident is presumed not to be gang-related and is still under investigation.
ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: Hector Vasquez, 19, of Hollister was arrested for assaulting a Hollister woman with a beer bottle, a felony, during a fight at a birthday party at 241 Lassen Court around 12:20 a.m. Saturday. After three Hollister women were injured in the fight which involved beer bottles, beer cans and baseball bats, only Vasquez was identified by one of the victims and later arrested. None of the suspects were injured. Police are still searching for the other suspects.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Scott Richard Yettman, 33, of 500 Hillock Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister police for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level over .08, a misdemeanor, at 10:23 p.m. Friday.
