“A loving husband with three beautiful daughters, who fought a year long battle against cancer is now in the hands of God.”

Ignacio Navarro passed away with his family at his side at the age of 37 years last Friday at Kaiser Santa Teresa Hospital in San Jose. Ignacio was a native of Mexico City and came to the United States as a young man. He worked as a Manager for Countryside Mushroom Farm in Gilroy for 18 years and was a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

He is survived by his parents Heliodoro and Marta Navarro; his spouse Maria Amelia Navarro, his daughters, Martha, Angie and Dulce Navarro all of Hollister; his mother-in-law Jova Escalera of Mexico; brothers Cruz and Martin Navarro of Arizona, Guadalupe Navarro of Hollister, Israel Navarro of Los Banos; sisters Carmen and Christina Navarro of Hollister, and many nieces and nephews.

Recitation of the rosary was held last night at 7:00 P.M. at the chapel of Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister. Family and friends will leave the funeral home today (Tues) at 9:30 A.M. to go to Sacred Heart Church, 5th & College Streets for a Mass of the Resurrection beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
