Ilah Joyce (Joy) Ford of Morgan Hill, formerly of Los Banos, died January 9, 2012, at the age of 74. Ilah was a woman of strength with unselfish love of her family and friends. She was a woman who always put the needs of others ahead of her own.
Ilah, was a passionate and competitive bowler who loved spending time with her teammates. She was a sports enthusiast who loved watching and rooting for her Raiders and Dodgers. Ilah loved spending time with her grandchildren and spending time at the ocean and taking walks along the beach.
A loving mother of Duane Kester of Castro Valley, Angela Kester of Morgan Hill, Steven Kester of Los Banos, Gordon Ford and his wife Jennifer of Arroyo Grande, dear sister Ann Hard of Atwater, cherished grandmother of Justin Kester-Johnson, Trevor Kester-Johnson, Jordan Lee Ford and family Signe Johnson and Phil Gonsalves.
Ilah courageously battled over the past several years in her fight against ovaria! n cancer. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating her life onSaturday, January 21, 2012, at Gilroy First Baptist Church located at 8455 Wren Avenue, Gilroy, CA 95020. Service begins at 11:30 A.M. with reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
