Hollister Interim Police Chief David Westrick said Friday that the police department, San Benito County Sheriff’s Office and San Benito Probation Department were working together to investigate three Wednesday shootings that may be related.

“We have been hard at work at that investigation,” he said. “But I’m not at liberty to give out any information.”

He said law enforcement agencies will release more information when it will not jeopardize the investigation.

Hollister police officers and San Benito County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the shootings Wednesday.

HPD officers responded to Sherwood Drive where two teenagers sustained non-life threatening injuries after being shot and another shooting in San Juan of an adult male who was reported as being in stable condition on Thursday. The victims were flown by air ambulance to regional hospitals.

There was an additional report of shots fired at the Park-n-Ride lot at Highways 101 and 129 the same evening, with no injuries reported.

Police officers and sheriff’s deputies believe the same suspect or suspects were involved in all three shootings as witnesses reported seeing a white Honda Accord at all three locations.

Anyone with information regarding these shootings is asked to call Officer Carlos Rodriguez at (831) 636-4330 at Hollister Police Department or Sgt. Tony Lamonica at San Benito County Sheriff’s Office at 636-4080. People wishing to remain anonymous
