On December 10th 2015, Irma P. Bertuccio went home to be with her Savior at the age of 99, surrounded by her friends and loving caregivers.
Irma was born and raised in Hollister and lived here all her life. She attended local schools and graduated from San Benito High School class of 1933. She went to San Benito Jr. College and then attended San Jose State. Irma was a member of Immaculate Conception and Sacred Heart Parishes, Young Ladies Institute and the Farm Bureau. She worked in her father’s grocery store and at the family ranch as a young girl before starting her own clothing store in downtown Hollister in 1940.

She was inducted into the Baler Education Foundation Hall of Fame in 2011.
She had a great love for cooking Italian food for family and friends every Sunday afternoon. For over 40 years, she would send cards to everyone in the local rest homes for every holiday as she did not want them to feel forgotten.
