Jo Johnson (Dodge, Horne) unexpectedly died on June 16th, 2009 at the age of 82 after a long, full life. Jo was born in East Orange, NJ on December 9th, 1926 as Mary Josephine Mesa. She went to New Trier High School in Winnetka, Ill. After attending 2 years of college in Colorado Springs, she and her mother moved to CA. Jo lived in Palo Alto for more than 30 years, then moved to Morgan Hill where she lived since 1989.

She was actively involved in the local bridge clubs, and created numerous paintings which were displayed at Gavilan College winning many awards from the Gilroy Art & Culture Commission. She also participated in the Activities Committee as well as the Board of Directors of her Woodland Estates residence.

She is preceded in death by three sons: Michael Lawrence Johnson, Gregory Oliver Johnson, and Jeffery Belton. She is survived by her daughter, Lynelle (Dodge) Johnson, and granddaughter, Melissa Mekediak, and son, Randy Dodge.

Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on June 22nd, 2009 at the Woodland Estates Clubhouse, 850 W. Middle Ave., Morgan Hill, CA.
