John grew up on a loving family farm in Hollister. Since his dad died at such a young age and his brother Eugene was serving in the Vietnam War, John took over the leadership role in the family. He played football with the Hollister Hay Balers. He worked many years as a welder and was highly recognized for his accomplishments. John was a loving husband and cherished his time with his girls and grandchildren. It was obvious by the sparkle in his eyes when they were together. John was a total family man. He was a faithful 49-er fan. He liked to cook and enjoyed watching the cooking shows. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. The large boar mount in his home was a prized possession. John will be missed so much by all those who knew and loved him.
