A memorial service is planned for November 1st, 2014, at 1:00 P.M., in the community room of the Prospect Senior Apartments, 960 Prospect Avenue, Hollister. Memorial contributions may be made to National Wildlife Federation or American Cancer Society.
 John Arlo Baumgartner died suddenly of a heart attack in Hollister, on October 16, 2014.   
 He was the son of Clayton Baumgartner and Hazel (Crippen) Baumgartner Rudd.  
 His parents and sister, Virginia predeceased him.
 John graduated from San Benito High School, and then served in the U.S. Air Force in Madrid, Spain.     
 Upon return, he graduated from San Benito College and then moved to Fresno, to attend Fresno State College.  
 He joined Greyhound Bus Lines, becoming District Manager in Fresno and South Lake Tahoe.  
 John resided in Hollister the last two decades.
 He leaves his companion, Merilee Eddy of Hollister; his son, Michael Baumgartner of Chicopee, MA.; his daughters, Tricia (Jerry) Probert of San Francisco and Christine (Mark) Brown of Cool, CA.; his brothers David, Gary, Robert, and Glenn Baumgartner; his stepbrother Donald Rudd; many nieces and nephews; a step-granddaughter and a step-great-granddaughter.
