John “Jack” L. O’Donnell passed away Saturday at the age of 98 at Mabie Southside Skilled Nursing Facility. Born in Hollister, he was a retired apricot and walnut orchardist. Member of Sacred Heart Catholic church; Hollister Elk’s Lodge, No. 1436; S.I.R.S. and San Benito county Historical Society. He is survived by his son, Jim O’Donnell

(Margaret), daughter Kathleen O’Donnell, brother-in-law James Paxton, grandsons Patrick O’Donnell (Marissa), and John O’Donnell (Bethany). He also is survived by nephews Mark Paxton (Mary), Craig Paxton (Anne) and Gary O’Donnell (Karen). Grandnieces Erin, Maura, Maida and Rose Paxton, Katie O’Donnell and two grandnephews, Brett and Sevin. Jack was predeceased by his wife, Pearl, sisters, Pat O’Donnell and Mary Paxton, brothers, Bill and Francis O’Donnell.

A memorial Mass will be offered Saturday, August 21st at 10 A.M. at St. Benedict Church, 1200 Fairview Road, Hollister. Private inurnment will be at St. Benedict Church Columbarium.
