Former Morgan Hill resident Raymond Hill, passed away in Lincoln, NB after a short illness.

He was born in Russellville, AL. He moved to Morgan Hill with his wife Irene and brother David in 1953,

He worked various jobs here San in 1983, retired from the city of Morgan Hill’s Public Works Dept.

Following that, the couple “retired” to their home state of Alabama while maintaining their San Martin home.

They vacationed here annually to visit friends and family.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (1993) and by his long-time companion, Pearl Weatherby (2009); his parents John and Stella Hill, and Edna Hill; his brothers Rev. Otha Hill, Robert Hill, Wallace Hill, and Oadey Hill; and nephews Earl Gene Byrd, Raymond Varner, Jeremy Wach, Martin Harris, and Jordan Agaliotis.

He is survived by his brothers Paul (Doris) Hill of Muscles Shoals, AL, James (Marjorie ) Hill of Russellville, AL., and David (Carol) Agaliotis of Morgan Hill, CA, sisters Margaret Harris of Wymore, KS, and Doris Bolton of Lincoln, NB; and a sister in-law Lorene Lawson of Parma, ID.

He leaves numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends here and in Alabama and Nebraska.

Services were held August 30, 2010, at Morrison Funeral home, Tuscumbia, AL, with Gerald Borden officiating.
