In addition to the aforementioned, he is survived by three grandchildren: Frank Catanzaro, Christopher Catanzaro, and Olivia Brooks.
Born to Joseph and Margaret Digiovanni in Redwood City, California, Joseph’s childhood was filled with playing the violin and concentrating on his schoolwork.
After earning an Electrical Engineering degree from Stanford University, he got a job at Lockheed Martin, married Patricia Tiernan, and started a family. Growing up as an only child, Joseph wanted lots of kids. Grace, Theresa, Joe, and Marcus were the joys of his life.
In his professional life, Joseph co-founded a defense electronics company called Antekna. He served as VP of Engineering and met great success as the company had many successful products and was eventually acquired.
As a retired man, Joseph continued his lifetime love of music by participating in his church choir, playing instruments, and taking opera lessons. It was during this time that he met and married Jan Paterson while singing in Gavilan Community Choir.
