 It is with great saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Julia Marquez Diaz, age 74, on Monday, September 1, 2014. She was born Jan. 9, 1940 in Gilroy.
 Julia was a great mom, grandma, great-grandma, Tia, sister and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking. She always shared family secret recipes and loved her garden.
 She is survived by three children, Arlene Trevino, Rudy Duarte and Beverly A. Diaz.
 She had five grandchildren, Yolanda, Sandra, Sergio, Jr., Sonny and Ronica, seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
 She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Marquez, mother, Louisa Carrillo Marquez, brothers, Anthony Marquez, Raymond Marquez, sisters, Josie Reyes, Martha Marquez and son-in-law, Sam Trevino, Jr.
