Karen Marie passed away peacefully on February 3rd with family by her side. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Frank; mother Opal Rolla; daughters Cheryl Downs and Julie Hollins; brothers Dick Rolla and Phillip Rolla; grandchildren Jacob Hollins, Emma Downs and Ethan Downs and many many other loved ones.
Karen was born on May 12, 1942 in Hollister, CA. She attended Live Oak High School and Heald Business College. She was a resident of San Jose for over 40 years, where she raised her daughters and worked most recently at Echelon Corporation.
She was a vigorous, selfless and caring wife, mother and friend. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her overwhelming kindness and smile. She will be terribly missed, loved always, and never forgotten.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at the Lima Family Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose, CA, on Saturday, February 10th at 12 noon. A reception immediately following will be held at Echelon Corporation, 550 Meridian Avenue, San Jose, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to St. Agnes Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
