 Lawrence R King passed away peacefully, at his home on Saturday, October 10, 2015.
 Larry was born in Antioch, CA in 1935. He grew up in Concord, CA and enlisted shortly after graduation from high school into the U.S. Marine Corps.
 Upon completion of his service, he enrolled in Diablo Valley College where he met his future wife, Barbara. They married in 1958 and shortly after moved to San Jose to attend San Jose State, graduating with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. His entire professional career was with United Technologies as a Chemical Engineer.
 In 1974, Larry and Barbara and their five children purchased a five acre parcel in Hollister and made it their own garden paradise that he loved to share with friends and family.
 He was involved in organizations with his children including Fairview 4-H and umpiring.
 Larry truly enjoyed distance running and completed multiple marathons. He also instilled a love for endurance events with his son, Brian.
 He was passionate about his annual hunting trips including such destinations as Canada and Alaska for big game.
 In his retirement he built the ultimate man cave where he spent time restoring vintage Fords and reading historical non-fiction.
 Larry is survived by his loving wife, Barbara of 57 years and his daughters, Raelene Silva (Tim) of Hollister, Jeanette Johnson (Steve) of Gilroy, Gloria Gordon (Steve) of San Jose, Charlotte Rocha (Rob) of Gilroy and son, Brian King (Sheryl) of Santa Barbara.
 He enjoyed being grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of three.
