Lena was born in Tilman County, Loveland, OK on November 16, 1913. She was a resident of San Benito County since 1944. She passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on July 23, 2016, and she was just shy of 103 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clinton, sons, Billy Joe and Melvin Dodgin, daughters, Coleen Contival and Lena Wilson, son-in-law, Sterling Bowman, daughter-in-law, Marguerite Dodgin and grandsons, Kenneth Bowman and Rickey Contival.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Bowman and Myrt Bettencourt and son-in-law, Jeff Contival, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, six great- great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lena was considered the pillar of her family and was loved very much by all. She will be greatly missed but will leave many memories that we can hold dear in our hearts.
