A memorial service honoring Leo’s life will take place at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, August 12th, 2016, at Mission San Juan Bautista. A reception will follow at the San Juan Bautista VFW Post 6395, 58 Monterey St., San Juan Bautista, CA 95045. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia Foundation 191, Waukegan Rd., Suite 105, Northfield IL, 60093 or Defender’s Lodge, GFP2202, 3801 Miranda Dr., Bldg. 9, Palo Alto, CA 94304 (Att. Tracy).

Leo Casa, of King City, CA, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 1, 2016, at the Defender’s Lodge in Palo Alto, CA.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Evelyn Quintero Casa; his children, Lisa Casa Hanson (her husband, Craig), Vince Casa (his wife, Karen and his grandchildren, Zane, Caelan, Micah, and Trenton), siblings, Al Casas (and wife, Julie), Ralph Casas, Emily Jacinto, Dee Dee Valadez and Sally Stephenson (and her late husband, Frank).

Leo is preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Francisca Casas, son, Joel Casa, sister, Lourdes, brother, Robert Casas and mother-in-law, Carmen Quintero.

He will be remembered as a Hollister High School Baler, Class of ‘62, US Marine Vietnam Veteran, retired lineman/crew foreman from PG & E, loved his horses and tended to his ranch in King City, CA. He was an adoring husband and often said of his wife, “She was the best thing that ever happened to me.”
