Get Ready, Get Set, Rideshare!

Rideshare Week, October 4-8, 2004, is the largest public education and outreach campaign promoting sustainable modes of transportation such as

carpooling, vanpooling, walking, biking, riding the bus or teleworking supported by Commute Alternatives and San Benito County Rideshare.

Participants who live or work in San Benito Counties who use an alternative mode of transportation just once during the week will be eligible to win one of many fantastic prizes, including an expedition cruise for two to Mexico, Canada or Alaska.

The stage is set to encourage even greater participation. This year, our website at RideshareWeek.com serve as a comprehensive resource for commuters, especially employers. Download posters and registration cards, get tips and tools on commuting alternatively; read our Road Raves entries; ride San Benito County Express for free; receive a Rideshare Week discount card; and register for a chance to win a trip of a lifetime. As an extra incentive, we are offering a special drawing for private business employers and public agencies. By providing feedback on how our rideshare agencies can best provide assistance to common transportation needs, businesses and agencies will be entered into a drawing for two golf passes valid for four players each at Ridgemark Golf and Country Club.
