Maria Dalia (Bailon) Duddy beat her battle with Alzheimer’s Sunday, June 14, 2015. She is survived by her daughters Adrianne Lee & George Sardonis (San Francisco), Denise Marie and Neill O’Laughlin (Hollister), her two loving grandchildren Morgan Mae and Kellen Patrick O’Laughlin, her brother Reynaldo Bailon and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Beverly Marie (Duddy) and Nello Tonegato, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Leroy Duddy, her parents Ysable and Concepcion Bailon and brothers Ruben and Joe Bailon.
Maria was born in San Jose, Arizona and lived there until she moved to San Francisco. She graduated from Balboa high school and later worked as a secretary in San Francisco. She married Leroy in 1955 and they settled in Cupertino where they raised their two girls. Maria was an advocate for MIA-POW’s of the Vietnam War. Maria enjoyed spending time with the Golden Girls, family, friends and most of all participating in her grandchildren’s lives attending their school and sports events. “Nana” was always in attendance. She will be greatly missed.
