Marilyn passed on Wednesday December 11th, 2013, at the age of 75. She was a long time resident of the San Martin and Gilroy area.
Marilyn spent her life devoted to caring for people and animals. She worked for many years in Animal Services including Gilroy Veterinary Hospital, South County Animal Shelter and the Animal Control offices.
Marilyn was born in Hanford, CA but moved to this area in 1977. Upon her retirement, Marilyn enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and close friends.
She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Eric and Kelly Coleman of Gilroy, Wade Coleman and Jeanette Chester of Upper Lake, CA and Susan and Bryan Neary of Austin, TX.
Marilyn also enjoyed her great-grandchildren Ari and Jaylin Coleman of Gilroy and Lucia and Isaac Neary of Austin. She is also survived by her daughter Debra Coleman, her sisters Virginia and Carol, her brothers Joseph and Phillip (Sonny) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her generous and loving spirit will be missed by those who knew her especially her close friend Judy Gomes who was a sister at heart and with her until the end.
