30-year Hollister resident
Martin R. Arciniega died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002 at his home in Hollister. He was 67.

Mr. Arciniega was born in Guerrero, Mexico, and had lived in Hollister for about 30 years. He was a self-employed painter and a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Maria Arciniega of Hollister; his mother, Margarita Arciniega of Hollister; his children, Jaime Arciniega, Joseph Arciniega, Iris Arciniega, Rocio Arciniega, Fernando Arciniega and Regina Arciniega, all of Hollister, Martin Arciniega Jr. of San Jose, Sandra Hinojos of Hayward, Armando Arciniega of Los Angeles and Arturo Arciniega of Arizona; his brothers and sisters, Bartolo Arciniega, Francisco Arciniega, Olivia Nunez, Eliazar Arciniega, Joel Arciniega, Armando Arciniega and Elvia Gonzalez, all of Hollister, Elias Arciniega of Gilroy and Salvador Arciniega and Josue Arciniega, both of Los Banos; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at noon at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Private family burial will be held at sea.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.
