Mary P. Reed November 2, 1929 – October 14, 2014

 Friends can pay their respects on Monday, October 20, 2014, from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Mass will be on Tuesday morning, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, in Hollister. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Salinas. Donations are preferred to The Alzheimer’s Association.  Mary P. Reed passed away in Salinas, at the age of 84.  She was born in El Centro and lived in Hollister for 19 years.
 She was a member of Sacred Heart/St. Benedict Church, liked music, gardening and crocheting.
 She is survived by her children, Ronnie Bermudez (Mary) of Gilroy, Marlene Alderete (Jesse) of Salinas, Rosmary Bermudez of Soledad, Lela Chavez of Gilroy, Charles Rogers (Marcheta) of Oakdale and Anna Rodriguez (Rudy) of Hollister, her brothers and sister, Joe Padilla of Las Vegas, Edward Padilla of Modesto and Dolly Padilla of Gilroy, and 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. 
 She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Bermudez.
