struggling with ALS, commonly known as Lou Gherig’s Disease, since
2003.
Pietro Lucido passed at his home in on Sunday, Jan. 9 after struggling with ALS, commonly known as Lou Gherig’s Disease, since 2003.

He was born in Isola delle Femmine, Sicily, Italy on April 3, 1936. For most of his early life, Pietro was a general contractor and fisherman.

He was a very devoted on loving family man. He enjoyed listening to opera and classical music, and watching soccer.

He was a gentle and quiet man who enjoyed painting in water color and drawing charcoal during his free time.

He is survived by his wife Bartola; two daughters, Anna Maria and Silvia; four grandchildren; two brothers, Antonio Lucido of Isola and Ray E. Lucido of Carmel Valley; sister Nazzarena Lucido-Billecia of Isola; several nieces, nephews, cousins uncles and aunts in Italy and California including his uncle Mario and Katherine Lucido of Hollister.

Services were held in Isola on Jan. 10.
