Miguel Torres, a resident of Gilroy and an accomplished mason, passed away on March 18 at the age of 42. Miguel was born Nov. 3, 1966 in Gilroy, Calif., to Albert and Olga Torres. He leaves behind brothers and sisters Albert Torres, Jr., Robert Torres, Cindy Haglund, Jeanette Ostrowski, Rodney Torres and Molly Ham, and 12 nieces and nephews. Miguel’s remains will be interred with his brother, Philip, who preceded him in death in 1992.

A resident of Gilroy, Miguel was an avid hunter who tremendously enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with his brothers, father, uncles and cousins. They will miss him greatly on their annual fall excursion to Colorado, where they will contribute some of his personal gear to an existing hunter-survival outpost situated on his favorite hunting grounds.

Miguel was known for his selfless spirit and will always be remembered for his generosity and loving heart.
