Modeen will be missed by all who knew and loved her for her courageous spirit and wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her loving grandson, Shane Grider of Australia, her 3 great granddaughters, and her devoted sister, Ruby Fortino of Gilroy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry, her loyal and devoted husband of forty years passed away in 2003. She was preceeded in death by her two children , Leada and Dennis Grider, her granddaughter Sharna Lee Grider, and her brothers Roy and Ernest Stevens,
A memorial celebration will be held on Friday, Nov. 10, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Garden Of Memories, Salinas, CA. The family requests that gifts of remembrances be given to a charity of your choice
