Mothers Against Drunk Driving honored a Hollister police officer last weekend for making 25 driving while intoxicated arrests in 2012, according to the Hollister Police Department in a statement.

A mountain lion showed up again Monday at Brigantino Park a day after residents initially witnessed one there, leading to a park closure.

A police chase on Hollister’s west side ended Friday night when the suspect crashed a motorcycle into a parked vehicle, according to police.

Dozens of first responders were recognized for saving lives in San Benito County this week as part of EMS week, including one citizen hero. The San Benito County Board of supervisors declared May 19-25 as EMS Week with May 22 as EMS Children’s Day.
