Police on Wednesday seized about $8,000 in marijuana and hash from a Hollister home and arrested a man who resides there, according to a statement released by the sheriff's office.

Police have arrested a 22-year-old Michigan man in connection with two bomb threats made at San Benito High School in early December, according to police.

The Hollister City Council honored two police officers at Tuesday's meeting. The two officers, David Anderson and Carlos Rodriguez, were involved in helping children escape an apartment building fire earlier this month in the 1500 block of Valley View Road. See the video below. 

Sheriff's deputies Tuesday arrested a 42-year-old Castroville man in Aromas on suspicion of sexual assault to a juvenile, according to the San Benito County Sheriff's Office.

San Juan Bautista’s Anthony Montoya faces a trial confirmation Tuesday in connection with charges that he had maintained an indoor marijuana growing operation at his home.

Authorities this week served a search warrant and arrested two Hollister residents on Brittany Circle on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale and possessing methamphetamine for sale.

A small fire broke out earlier this week and destroyed an electrical panel behind the Tres Pinos Road shopping center that includes Subway and Haircut 5.
