Police on Sunday arrested the suspect wanted in multiple residential burglaries and who recently fled from officers during a search, according to a statement from the Hollister Police Department.

The Hollister Police Officers Association voted June 25 to officially endorse an extension of the city’s general fund sales tax. The vote came two weeks after the Hollister Fire Fighters Union voted to pursue a public safety tax of their own and come out against the general fund sales tax extension.

Construction on the San Benito County Superior Court continued Thursday as a crew worked to pump into at least 1,000 yards of concrete for the foundation of the building.
