The midweek Fourth of July holiday seemed to be on the quiet side, according to one Hollister fire official.

Hollister Police Officers arrested a man during a traffic stop for possession of heroin for sales and possession of an illegal weapon. A search of the suspect’s home resulted in an arrest of another suspect on drug charges Thursday.

Two sport utility vehicles were involved in a head-on collision Friday morning near Airline Highway and Union Road, while the four people involved were transported to area hospitals.
