Animal ‘Olympians’ win medals of their own
Faster, higher, stronger. The best human athletes in the world, many of them from California, have proven their worthiness of an Olympic medal. But there are other “athletes” all around us – our local native wildlife includes some with amazing feats worthy of a medal, and in fact, one of them already holds a world record. Water treatment plant to cost $20M, bump rates

Solyndra employees get $3.5M in settlement; local led the charge for reimbursement
Solyndra, the East Bay solar panel manufacturer that filed for bankruptcy protection two years after receiving a federal loan, settled a lawsuit with former employees who alleged they were unlawfully laid off.
