Police agencies to do extra patrols near schools
The California Highway Patrol, San Benito County Sheriff’s Office and The Hollister Police Department will be conducting extra patrol around the schools as they open for the 2012-2013 school year, according to an announcement.

Flags at half mast to honor Wisconsin victims
San Benito County school and government buildings had their flags lowered to half staff today in honor of the victims of the tragedy in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, by executive order of President Barack Obama. The flags will be flown at half staff until sunset today.
