Missing girl Selena Burr found in Ceres

Missing juvenile Selena Burr has been located by the Stanislaus Sheriff’s Office near Ceres. Burr was reported missing by her foster parent and legal guardian on July 12. When she was reported missing again on Aug. 1, the Hollister Police Department sent out a press release about the missing girl.

An appraiser will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event this year will include an increase in vendors and food booths. All proceeds go to the club’s community grants program, emergency fund for local families, leadership opportunities for high school students and the donation of dictionaries to all third-grade children in the Aromas-San Juan Unified School District. Santa Clara County asks voters to increase sales tax

The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors passed the second and final reading of an ordinance at their meeting Tuesday that asks voters to increase sales tax by one-eighth cent in November. It would increase the local tax rate from 8.375 percent to 8.5 percent. The board voted 4-0, with Supervisor Mike Wasserman absent.
