Nicholas Gregory Stroppa passed away quietly on March 22, 2013. He fought valiantly in his battle with Osteo Sarcoma , forever, hopeful till the end.
He was a man of many talents, ideas, and a quick wit.
He was surrounded by friends, some old, some new, and some of which were family.
Above all, he was a man who looked at life with the eyes of an optimist, regardless of what was thrown at him.
Nick grew up on the fields of Morgan Hill and San Martin wearing gloves of one sort or another. Football and baseball were ingrained in his DNA, and he took to sports as naturally as anyone. Through competition he forged many of the bonds he would hold close to his heart until the day he passed. This competitive spirit transcended the field and forged its way onto the pages of his scripts, and the fire he put into learning the movie industry.
His vision was his own, and he fought to place the memory of this world view into the hearts of those around him. It is easy to say that after you talked to him, if even for a short time, an impression was left and the world took on new and more vibrant shades.
Towards the end of his life, the fire and passion never left his eye. Anyone who saw him, or heard one of his unexpected jokes, could tell that this was a man that would live on long after he left the world we see around us. He will forever be in the thoughts of those he knew, silently adding a little guidance to their path, as well as cause a little bit of mischief in their everyday lives. That was just the way he was, and he will be laughing next to us among the whispers of the winds through the valley.
He is survived by mother, Sandy Stroppa of Morgan Hill, Brother Jason Stroppa of Morgan Hill, uncles Fred (Carol) Stroppa of Seattle WA, Uncle Arnold of Redwood City and cousins James DeFehr (Robin) of Galt, Michael (Erin) Stroppa and Susie (Jody) Terrana of Kent, WA.
